Where do you get Annapurna Circuit permits?
Conservation area and national park permits are normally issued in Kathmandu or Pokhara, and some can be bought at the park entry checkpoint. Restricted area permits must be arranged in advance through a registered trekking agency and are not issued to individual trekkers.
Are permits checked on the Annapurna Circuit?
Yes. Permits are checked at entry posts and at checkpoints along the route, and you may be asked for them more than once between Besisahar and Jomsom. Carry them with you rather than leaving them in a duffel.
